Hi,

I have some requirements for an event registration system. Does this product support the following functionality? Is source code available for customization (and if so, how easily could the requirements below be met?)

This is an Event Registration system where clients can optionally buy packages (tokens or a discount card) to reduce the cost of event registration.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Event Registration
=====================
•categorized events (dinners, sports, wine tastings)
•user can only ever register once to an event.
•Events are gender aware - only men can sign up to event x, only women can sign up to event y
•payment
•nice to have – waiting lists

2. Expiring Discount Card
=========================
•expiring (e.g. annual) discount card that would provide $$ discount to event registration set on a per-event basis.
•E.g. Anyone holding a non-expired discount card gets a discount of $x for event y, and discount $a for event b. Otherwise, they must pay regular price when registering to the event.

3. Product - Expiring Packages of Tokens
========================================
•Package of x tokens
•A token is in place of payment when registering for an event. If the user has a token, they don’t pay anything, otherwise they pay regular price.
•Package of tokens expire – must be used up before a certain date.
•Event registration would obviously need to choose a token over a discount card if the user held both.

Thanks!

Hi, Keith,

Yes, source codes are provided in VB.NET for the core module.

1. Event Registration
All features are available except Waiting list.

2. Expiring discount card
This is a new feature we are going to add.

3. Product - expiring packages of tokens
Not sure what is the difference between this and #2.

Thanks.

both Item #2 and Item #3 expire, however

Item #2 (discount card) provides a $ discount off of the registration price.
Item #3 (tokens) each token replaces payment - ie. 5 tokens get you 5 events.

Can you comment on timing of #2 and #3?

Okay, in that case, do you really need a token?

a token = 100% discount discount card.

Yes -
Package A: 5 tokens (expires after 1 yr)
Package B: 10 tokens. (expires after 1 yr)

e.g. I can purchase a package, and they are good for a year. So, if after a year, I haven't used all my tokens, too bad. Or - if I use up my 5 tokens before the end of the year, no more discounts allowed.
