I run a private DNN 5.4.1 site just for personal friends, so at this time we wouldn't need paid registration. But as I am testing with the module I have some questions.

1. Do I need to install all the modules?? (i.e. Events Calendar Payment, Events Calendar Promo Codes, & Events Calendar Reg Detail)

2. Can users still flag the event as attending without the Registration License? (i.e. RSVP)

3. When creating a new event for the event image, is there a way to select an Image URL?? (This might be a general how to enable Image URL in DNN question)

So far a very awesome product. I am also hoping to be able to view the events from a mobile device with the mobiNuke product.

Thanks!!

Jason,

Thanks.

1. Yes.

2. You can enable RSVP without Registration license. (So in your case, you don't need to enable events for registration)

3. Not now.

Let me know if you need any help.

We have the Events module (version 3.0.3) but apparently don't have the Events and Registration license. Can we just upgrade the license to allow for registration? Do we only have to pay the difference to upgrade the license?

Also - The module was purchased by a vendor who did the original build on our site. We're now managing the site ourselves. Can I purchase the license upgrade with my own info? I do have the current activation code.

Amy,

Yes, you can upgrade at Snowcovered.com.
But the discount is only given to the user who originally purchased the license.

Please send an email to support @ invenmanager.com with your license code and the version you would like to purchase. thanks.

Ok, I need help now...:) I installed the trial version on my site yesterday. Question: Should I uninstall the trial version and re-install the one I purchased before I activate it? If so, where do I find the un-install instuctions?

Question 2: I want to change the color of the numbers representing the days of the month on the calendar, could you direct me to where the change is to be made? my site: strandevent.com The numbers are the same color as the background, white.

Thats it for now,

Dave

Dave,

1. You don't have to reinstall at all. (if it is the same version, just need to activate the license).

2. Great looking site. (same as your avatar, )
To change the color of the numbers, you can change this class in the style sheet used at View Options:
.evtDay{}

Thank you... I figured out it was the css file in my skin that was making the numbers white. I did go ahead and register the site.

Next... I still have a couple of issues.
1. I have no Category drop down box on the calendar? Where did it go?
2. Setting up events seems to be pretty straight foward, BUT...? When I set up an event, no registration link appears?
The Allow registration box is ticked in the event setup and in the main settings "allow registration" is set to appear by default .

Other than that, this is one Great looking module.... I can't wait to get through the curve.

Hi Dave,

1. Have you created categories and given appropriate permissions? (If yes, try clear your cache)

2. First, is the event setup to allow registration. (Under Registration section when you create an event).
Then, only FUTURE events are showing the Register link to normal users. (Admin users will always see Register link though)

Yes I created one yesterday and that's when the category drop down dissappeared altogether. I'll try creating more than one category and see how that works out for me. Thank you.

As for the second question: Maybe we should try from a different angle. lol :D
How does a user of a site register for an event? I just went to your demo site and couldn't find a link on the posted events to register for any events? I would have sworn there use to be a link beside the more info link on the event pop up that read "Register"? Have I gone mad?

Dave,

1. Ok.

2. Yes, you still can see the Register link at our demo site.
But you won't see Register link for passed events. You will see Register link for Future events. Can you check that again... Thanks.

Things are coming along now. :)

Is there a way to display the satellite module on a different dnn site? I don't want the RSS of the list view. What I'm looking to do is create a calendar for a group and allow that group to display the satellite calendar on their site so when someone clicks on the small satellite calendar on their site it brings them to the full calendar on my site.

Is this possible?

Thanks,

Currently it does not support cross portal integration. but I believe it will be something coming along, similar to our Advanced Articles module.

I'm having another problem and I'm not sure why? If you go to the "Baseball Game" event on 7/13/2010 it pulls up this message: The process cannot access the file 'D:\WebRoot\Domains\strandevent.com\wwwroot\desktopmodules\eventscalendar\templates\381\tooltiptemplate.txt' because it is being used by another process.

Could you help me out with this please?

Thanks

Thank you, I'll be looking for that. While I have your attention,... when I receive email notification on events, the from address is "host@change.me"? I've checked that I set up everything in the DNN portal and I made the change in email when setting up a new event. What could be causing this?

Thanks,

David,

Currently it is sending out emails using the "Event Owner" email.
If it is not specified, it is using the portal administrator's email.

By the way,
In the update I mentioned above, we have changed (after many user request) so that it will be sending out emails using the email specified at the Manage Email Notification page.
