I've been evaulating Events v2.4.2 and have a few questions:

1] How can I control the 'years' that appear in the Year dropdown?...Currently it lists years back to 2004


2] Is there any facility for 'paging' when the events list exceeds (e.g.) 20 events?


3] Does the 'Month' dropdown always show the current month?


4] Is it possible to set a default category for the list view?


5] In the detail view I can't get rid of the 'Notify me' box even though the Notify option is unchecked in the event edit form. Is there a way to remove this?


6] Hiding List/Calendar view icons - I note from an earlier post that you will make these optional in a future release. DO you know when that might be?

Hi, Phil,

1] Currently it always displays -5 ~ +5 years

2] Many users requested to allow display events for more than one month, so this is an enhancement on the way, you can define the duration for which you want the event to be displayed, and then you also have the paging function if there are more events.

3] The Month drop down will show current month by default.

4] Default category for list view will be Show All. However, in Satellite module, you can choose to display one of the categories only. And on List view, once a category is chosen, it will be stored in session, that means it will remember the last Category selected. Do you have any suggestion on this?

5] The Notify Me box you can un-check the option under Email Notification at the Settings page.

6] Yes, you will have the option to display icons according to your choice. It will be ready within a month's time, so latest by end of March.

Do you know if the paging function has been implemented? I don't see it as an option anywhere, and it's something we need to implement in the next few days. If it's not in can you point me to the code file I should modify to support it?
