Can anyone point me to where the satellite modules settings are configure when running under DNN 6.x?

We recently upgraded to DNN 6.x. I then added the Events Satellite module to the front page, and went to configure the module. Unfortunately, I can't find anyway to access the module specific settings now. I can edit the generic settings in "Layout" mode, but there aren't any module specific settings in there, and no other module specific related settings appear. I've tried Layout, Edit, and View modes but don't see anything. Am I looking in the wrong pace?

Thanks!
Craig

Hi Craig,

There is a View Options for Satellite module. Please refer to User Guide for more details.

If you do not see this option, check if your module container supress the module menu? You may try to switch to default DNN container and try again.

Yes, I've been using the "View Options" menu in DNN 5.x. Now that I'm running DNN 6.x it doesn't appear anywhere.

I'm using the default skin now.
In Layout Mode the "Manage" button is active, but doesn't contain any InvenManager options, and neither does the "Settings" sub-menu.
In Edit Mode, there is a "Settings" gear icon, but I receive an error from both Safari and Firefox indicating that it is trying to execute invalid javascript.
In View Mode, there is of course, nothing at all.

I have screenshots, if it is helpful.

Again, this is under DNN 6.x.

Thanks,
Craig

Oh, and I upgraded to DNN 6.x, because I was having trouble with the Event Calendar Satellite module and Ultra Media Gallery fighting over what version of javascript to load. It seems to have fixed that problem.

Only the javascript works now. The problem with no View Option menu appearing when the Satellite Events module is run under DNN 6.x is still unresolved.

Craig,

There is a View Options for the satellite module as mentioned. You can try switch to default DNN container and Skin to see if that shows.
If it does, you may need to check with your Skin and container developer to show the module menu as well.

Yes, I've tried the default skin as you suggested it in this thread already.

Craig,

There is no change to the module menu, and it should be working.

So I am quite sure there is something wrong on the configuration and settings on your site.
No worries, please send your URL and host account for our 2nd level support.

Nope. The only email response I received was the automated one stating that you received the support request. This confirms that you have the correct email address.

I checked my spam box and nothing was there. I searched all messages in GMail and there's nothing there.

Looking forward to getting this resolved.

Hi Craig,

We tried to login but it is just a normal user, we can't do anything.

Please also indicate which page is the Satellite module you installed.

What are you talking about? I gave you access to my host account. You can do **ANYTHING** you need to get this resolved including creating any users that you might need.

The module is on the front page, at the exact URL I gave you. http://pcrc.net.

Please stop playing games, be professional, and put some serious effort into fixing this.

Regards,
Craig

Hi, Craig,

Nobody is interested in playing games with you, we will help you to solve the problem with the best of our knowledge at the soonest as we can.
See attached screen shot that was what it looks like.

After your reply I tried to login again, and this time it has host access. (I don't know why. We never created any user on your site you can see from the logs).

And this time I can see that not only the Satellite module you can't access the menu, on that page, only the first module you can access the module menu. All other modules you can't see the module menu. (So you know it is not just the Satellite module is having problem. All your other modules having the same issue)
This is due to some modules created a scripts conflict that is preventing the module pop up.
You can try removing some modules on that page and see which is the module causing the problem as I can't tell for now.
I also notice a serious scripts error from your site, see the 2nd picture in the attachment.

Another way, is to place the satellite module on a different page without any other modules, see if that works, as it should.
