There appears to be a bug in the registration close-off period. If it is set to 1 day before the event the register button still appears and people are able to register. Our client wants to close registration a day before so this is a problem for us as the only way round it is to manually disallow registration which is too time consuming. Your help with this is appreciated. |

Hi there I can confirm that the time was checked and was all OK but the problem is still there. I take your point about administrator level like myself would still see the register button, but it was allowing a normal user to register during the cut-off period. Our IT team created a dummy event and closed registration off a day before but could still register. We are going to be entering a whole new series of courses soon so it would be great to get this resolved before then. Thanks Allison |

Hi, The website is www.mettlemesh.com/clg Do you need login details or do you have a way round that? Could it be because the system was originally written in an old version of DNN (not sure which one) and was recently upgraded to Module version(02.05.05)? While you are investigating this problem, would it be possible to look at the other one I posted yesterday regarding scheduler? An automatic reminder was sent to a delegate even though the course had been cancelled and his name had been deleted from the list via registration manager. Thanks for your help. Allison |

Sorry - just realised that you had already replied to the other problem about reminders. Is there any way of cancelling all event reminders? It's very confusing for people to receive a reminder for an event that has been cancelled and just generates more work for us on the helpdesk! Allison |

Hi there I haven't heard anymore about the registration cut off after I provided the site url. There is a course due to run at 1.30 pm tomorrow and I changed the cut off to 1 day before and a start time of 10 am. I have just logged in as a normal user and the register button is still there. Please can you have a look at let me know why it isn't working. Thanks Allison |

Allison, After looking into the source codes, I finally found a bug! the registration date will be added one day if you set to one day before the event start date! but this only happens when you set to -1 day. because the VB.NET recognize -1 as a NULL value!!! I have corrected this, would you mind send an email to support @ invenmanager.com, and I would be glad to send you an update! I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. |

Thanks for correcting this bug - it saves me a lot of work in having to manually close off registration. I didn't understand what you meant about e-mailing support for an update - sorry! Allison |

Hi again We have now uploaded the update that you kindly sent through and I notice that the registration manager looks quite different. I have just sent a bulk e-mail to all participants (cc'd to me) and am a bit worried because it confirms that 1 email only has been sent event though there are 4 participants. Before the update, it used to confirm the total number of e-mails sent including my copy. The copy came through to me but I'm concerned that it hasn't gone to actual participants and other than phoning them to check, I'm not sure how to check this! Thanks again in advance for your help. Thanks - just to let you know that I checked with one of the participants and they didn't receive the e-mail so I presume that the confirmation stating that 1 e-mail had been sent was referring to the copy to me and no-one else. How frustrating to fix one thing and in doing so create a new problem! Allison |

Hi The host account details are:- User name: xxxx Password : xxxxx Also, I am really worried because since installing the update, I am unable to make any changes - it says it's a trial copy and I need to buy a licence! Do you have a licence number that I can enter? I don't have one from before. Allison |

Hi there I am talking to our server host about the licencing issue. In the meantime, have you had any luck with checking out the bulk e-mail facility? I am really behind on sending out evaluation forms which I usually do via bulk e-mail on the registration manager. Many thanks Allison |

Hi there We think our original licence must have originally been purchased by the person we employed to create our booking system who no longer works for us. Are you able to check your records to find out if there is a licence in the name of CMEurope Ltd? If it can't be located, can we simply pay for an upgrade to the latest version? If so, how much will this cost? I had a look on the website and it wasn't clear to me exactly what I need to buy. Please can you let me know as soon as possible as I am currently unable to make any changes to the system as the recent upgrade has changed it to a trial copy. Many thanks Allison |

Hi there I am resurrecting this topic because it appears that the original problem with the registration cut off is still there! If you refer back to the earlier conversation, there was a bug in the version we were using where it was recognising 1 day before the event as a null value and therefore still allowed people to book onto a course that had closed. We subsequently, loaded an updated version which was supposed to correct the problem but I have just realised that registration is still open for a course due to take place tomorrow at 9am, even though the registration is set to close 1 day before the event - see attached screen capture. Please can you advise what I need to do to ensure that registration is cut off 1 day before an event. The url is wwww.mettlemesh.com/clg Many thanks Allison :( |
