Gary,

I have a very strange bug I've been tracking for a couple months. Every couple weeks some stray HTML modules appear on the calendar page right below the calendar. See here: http://seattleinsight.org/Calendar/tabid/60/Default.aspx

Note the two empty HTML modules at the bottom of the page. I can delete them, but they eventually come back, and we have no idea what is causing them to appear. They appear 2 or 3 at a time, and they say they are created by "System." Any idea what is going on here?

Alden,

Good to hear back from you!

Well, it is strange that you have modules added automatically. (Better than module deleted automatically though )...

Question:
1. this only happens on the Calendar page?
2. try remove the HTML module from your default template page, see if that still happens?

Thanks.

Yes, certainly better than automatically deleted :-)

Yes, this is only happening on the calendar page.

You mean a DNN page template or an event template in the calendar? I don't believe my DNN page template includes any modules at all. But we do have several event templates which we don't show to the public. When the admin adds a new event, she does a "copy as new" from one of these templates, edits it and then publishes it. I have a hunch that one of these event templates might be causing this, but I can't make it happen myself, yet.

Thanks for your help, Gary!

It is really strange then.

I can't think of any logic in the module that it will auto add such a module.

What I mean is actually the default page template used by your portal. Usually you will see a HTML module added when you create a page.

Usually it is under portals template directory, for example, one of our site is stored in this folder:
\Websites\DotnetNuke_05\Portals\0\Templates
