In user manual (hey there are people who read this!)
Popup Window for Event Detail: If this is checked, event detail will be displayed in a pop up window instead of redirect to another page in the same window.

My question is this - where is this check box? I've looked under main settings where manual says it is, view options - can't find it.

In a test 5.05 under DNN 6.1.3, when I try to look at an event detail, it says:

The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /DesktopModules/EventsCalendar/popupevent.aspx

So, I was going to try no pop up - because that is what I'd prefer.

Note this is a clean install. I have another test version that was upgraded from v4, that actually goes to new window ... but even here there is no check box. I v4 there was a checkbox.

Can you tell me what to modify to get it to new window rather than pop up?

Hi,

We have removed the check box in the later version because you can now control everything with the template and tokens.

In order to popup in a new window:

You need to add this to the [READMORELINK] token: target="_blank"

For example: (put this in your Item template at View Options)

<a href="[READMOREPOPUPLINK]" target="_blank">Click here to read more about this event...</a>

Thank you must read forums more... will look into why 1 site has 404 where other doesn't (they're identical, i thought)
Does the hover intent (beauty tips) from v3 & v4 work in v5?
I'm still using that http://edmontonkids.com/Events/Edmonton-Events

Hi,

1. If your popup does not work and showing resource not found error, are you running your DNN on a virtual directory? (where your main website is not DNN)
if so you may have problem.

2. ECR 5.x is using another commercial script for the tool tip. Beauty Tips scripts will not work well because of the newer version of the jQuery.
