I have a situation where we would like to "lock" an event after it is approved so that MOST of the fields cannot be edited by anyone except the users with the approval role. Then we want other users with the post roles to be able to edit only certain fields (like the description and a few custom properties).

I don't think this is possible right now. We are looking for a way to add this capability to the product.

An even better solution would be to allow post users to make changes to the event but not have the changes appear until the moderator approves the changes. In this scenario we would not worry about which fields were changed because the moderator could review the changes.

Thank you,
Lance

I think the second option will be a good one.

It becomes a new version of the event. So for those Approved event, when usrs with post roles update the event, it should be saved as a new version, and it is linked to the original event, until the administrator approves it, it will not appear. Once approved, it will replace the original one.

This ties back to my most recent request:

http://www.invenmanager.com/Support/tabid/705/aff/3/aft/1889/afv/topic/Default.aspx

Will this feature be released soon? We are unable to use moderation at this time because the original poster can change the event after it has been approved.

Thanks,
Lance
