Is it possible to setup so users can sync the Event Calendar to a Google calendar? I see the option to export a single event to an ics file but my question relates to syncing the entire event calendar.

Yes, you can do this at Maintenance page. Both import and export.

The upcoming iCal feed feature should allow for end users to accomplish this. Waiting eagerly :-)

Ok I found the thread discussing the automatic synch to Google and Outlook calendars. This is exactly what my customer is asking for. (The import export function would not work fur end users).

My only concern now is that it has been promised to be completed "Very Soon" for several months now. Will this really be ready "soon" or will it slip another several months (not very soon)? I need to set my customers expectation appropriately.

Matt,

Have you try the iCal feed feature in v4.0.1? (Ready for download at Download page)
It is under the Data Feed page (previous RSS feed page), and it can be consumed by Google Calendar. (See screen shot below this post.)

Ron,

We are not ready for the syn with Outlook event, as it would be a totally new module, and currently the synchronization is offered by the Onyak Outlook Event module. (A third party plug in for Events Calendar module)

You can take a look at it here:

Ok thanks. How about the Google Calendar Synchronization? This is what's of primary interest to me. If I'm reading right, in this other thread (http://www.invenmanager.com/Support/UserForum/tabid/705/aff/4/aft/1574/afv/topic/Default.aspx) you appear to indicate a version with a manual synch to google calendar has been released? Is this true?

All right I answered my own question. Apparently Version 4.0 has google calendar integration and was released at end of April.

Unfortunately I purchased 3.1 at the beginning of April. But, your note on the home page indicates that I should get a free upgrade, however Snowcovered is charging me $13.99 for it. :(

ICAL!!!!! HUZZAH!!!!!

Gary, can you post this version to the demo site so I can try it? This will be a killer demo feature. When my client sees THEIR events in MY calendar put there automatically, they're going to go crazy!

Thanks for this!

Ok - I checked it out, but I'm finding that the ical feed is not working properly.

It's returning a web page that says:

"404 Not Found
The requested Url (http://www.autechheads.com/DesktopModules/EventsCalendar/ical.aspx?PortalID=0&ModuleID=661&TabID=62) does not return any valid content."

The RSS feed is working fine and there's no errors in the Windows Event Log - however for DNN event log, it's showing this each time I hit it:

Matt,

Please check now, it is working as I updated the latest package.

I apologize there was a missing file in the initial package you downloaded.
