I found several posts on this but I am not really sure that I see that it is completely answered.

We currently have Events Calendar (EC) installed but need the capability to book rooms/spaces when creating an event and prevent double booking. It appears that Facility Booking (FB) does this but there have been questions about full integration between the products on this forum.

Are they fully integrated?
If so, at what version for each module?
Can you create/update/delete events and the associated facility is automatically updated or do you have to update through FB also?
Is it just a matter of having the facilities of having the same names or is there more to it than that?
Is there an implementation doc that fully covers how the two are tied together?

1. Yes, it is checking the Venue to match the Facility name.

2. Currently it only book the facility upon creating event.

3. it works with FB 2.1.3

To clarify: If you delete an event from ECR the FB will NOT update? Is this correct?

You are right, currently if you Delete or Update the event, the FB is not updated accordingly.

Are there any plans to make the integration support updates or deletes from ECR to FB? This would be VERY useful.

yes, we are planning to do this.

On the other hand, we also want to integrate the ECR module to be a Booking module by itself.

Its cool to have the two views. If they are integrated into a single solution GREAT, but have the ability for FB to have its own space availability for people to look at works really well.

One of the things that I am wrestling with now is the notion of multiple addresses each with their own rooms. In an instance with 5 addresses and 5 rooms each would it be a good idea to have a total of 25 ECR venues and match them by name with 25 FB venues/rooms?

Yes, you might need to do that if you want to locate the specific room.
