Hi, Clas,

Did you login as Host?

Only Host account will see all the portals.

Their individual domain admin will not see other portals' modules.

Thanks.

Clas,

Yes, this is the function of the Satellite module, to display articles from other portals.

Another solution is, can you hide the Satellite module from other portals? If they are not using it to display from other portals, there is no much use of the Satellite module. :)

No, the main function of a satellite module is to display a selection of entries from the source module (compare with the behaviour of the satellite module of the Event Calendar module). If it's possible to do this across portals that's nice, but it's not the typical use of this module and it's certainly not acceptable that information that only should be visible to instance administrators are visible to site administrators.

Since there are functions in the satellite module that's not available in the main module (Filter on category, filter on featured, etc.), a lot of good functionality disappears if you can't use the satellite module. It should be trivial for you to add an option to the main module which prohibits access from satellite modules in other portals.

At least you should fix the bug described above which makes it possible for site administrators to see all main advanced article modules available in the DotNetNuke instance, this should only be available to instance administrators.

Thanks.

Clas,

I agree with you.

How about I make the following changes?

1. Host account login, can link Satellite module with other portals.
2. Site Administrator login, only can view Articles from its' own portal.

That sounds great!

How will we get hold of the patch when it's done, Snowcovered?

Thanks, your effort is appreciated by us!
