HI, Using AA on a large installation with a couple of hundred small portals online. two Issues: 1.) After posting a new article, the satelitte module is blank. I then have to go into the "View Options" settings of the satelitte and save them (no changes made) and the aatelitte returns to normal. 2.) Posting an article takes a long long time, again there is a large number of portals on the site. any ideas? Greg |

Hi Greg, 1. This might be a cache issue. The satellite module is cached, it will take a while for the articles to appear. 2. Do you have same problems with other postings? other modules? According to our experience, putting many portals on the same DNN install, especially when the data is huge with heavy traffic, the response will be slow. |

HI the blank satelitte issue I beleive I have solved by setting the cache to a value more than zero ( I used 120 ) I do not think it like not being cached. Performance on the rest of the site is OK, This is the only module that (and posting/editing an article is teh only function) that has a serious slow down. Data is not huge and the traffic is fairly lite, I posted another question on this regarding: articleController.RemoveSatelliteCache(); which I thikn is causing the issue, so I will mark this one as resolved. |
