When I attempt to copy a page that contains a Content Manager module, the "Copy" Radio button for the Content Manager is grayed out. I'd like to be able to use this functionality.

Is there a means of enabling this, with any version of Content Manager? (I'm currently using 4.00.00.)

Thank you.

Which version of DNN are you using?

Apologies for my delay in responding: the subscription notification must have been caught by my spam filter.

To answer your question, the "Copy" radio button is disabled in both DNN environments I've looked: DNN 4.6.2 and DNN 4.9.1.

Additional research has turned up some further info for me. (I'm a programmer, and my company has purchased the source code for the content manager for a previous application.) The Copy-Module functionality is enabled by implementing the "IPortable" interface, which doesn't appear to be implemented in the Content Manager source code I have. I checked with our programmers, and they made no changes to this part of the code. So it appears -- to me -- that this Copy-Module functionality is not presently supported in this module.

Am I correct? If so, are there plans to support this Copy-Module functionality (along with the "Export Module" and "Import Module" actions) in the future?

Thanks for your time, and for this module: it's a staple in my company's client sites.

Hi

We purchased the enterprise version. Nice module. Wondering how solid that June 30 date is for the iportable functionality. We are using this for a site that this functionality is important. If June 30 is definate we can probably wait it out, if it could be later, we probably need to go in a different direction. We would also be happy to beta test it if you could get it out a bit earlier.

Hi

The iportable functionality we discussed a while back in this thread has been working out great. I am having one odd issue though i am hoping you can help me with. We are using this module on one dnn install which has 10 parent portals created. At random times (or at least i havent been able to figure out the pattern) the activation key will blow out on one of the sites (different ones usually) indicitating that it is in trial mode. Once i put it back in on the site, it works, but at some point another site on the dnn install will drop the activation key. Could you let me know what might be the cause or what other info i can provide you that would help you diagnose?

Hi,

Are all the portal (websites) are using the same IP address?

or different?

If the websites are using different IP address, it might be a problem. because the license is linked to the IP address on which you activate.

If it is 1 DNN install, then it should not be any problem.

ok, i think i pinned down when it happens. If i create a new portal it seems to blow out the license on one of the existing portals. The new portal works fine. Whats weird this time is i now longer have license in the dropdown to add it back in.

You need to login as Host account to see the license tab. Thanks.

ok, thanks. That just leaves the issue of the license being dropped. Are there any fields in the db related to the licensing in which the value may be getting blown out when a new portal is created?

Can you confirm on the following:

1. Same DNN installation (same folder structure, and so on)

2. Same DNN database.

3. Same IP address for all the portals? (Single IP address, no load balancing)

If you confirm all the portals are using the same above configuration, there should be no problem.

If you have anything different, please let me know, so that maybe the problem.

Ray,

The very last thing I can do is to login to your portals and have a look at it.

Can you provide the address and user name, please email.

Thanks.
