Hi,

I am new to your module and just wanted to clarify the situation with the workflow regarding Submit > Approve > Publish.

As far as I understand someone who can edit the module can submit a change, then an approval email is sent to the members of a relevant approval role, and then someone with publish privilges needs to log back in to publish the content.

I wondered if it was possible to by-pass the need for someone with publish privildges to log in and go to 'Version Manager' and publish the content so effectively as soon as the content is approved it is auto-published?

Cheers,

Mike.

Mike,

Yes you can, just configure the Approval user to have the permission to Publish the content.

Hi, Thanks for that it is now sorted.

However, I have noticed that when content is approved and you tick the box 'Send Notification' that the content creator doesn't actually get emailed to say that their content has been approved and is now live. Is this a bug in the software or am I just misunderstanding what 'Send Notification' does?

Thanks,

Mike.

Mike,

It should send notification when it is approved, it will send to the user's email registered under his account.

Can you check Event Viewer, is there any error for sending out email?

Hi,

I have checked the event viewer and it is not reporting any issues. It sends out the other emails fine (e.g. rejection emails) but not when someone is approved. Could it be to do with the fact we are doing the approval and publish processes together?

Regards,

Mike.

Yes, in that case, there is no approval email to be sent as it is published right away.
