Hi,
I'm interested in purchasing Content Manager Standard Edition version as it fulfill the need of my current project.
But, what if in the future I purchased Enterprise Edition? What is the version upgrade policy (Do I have to re-purchase the Enterprise Edition)? And, what steps need to be done in my production server?
Is it just simply registration key, or assembly replace?

One other thing, I'm also curious about the Load Balancing feature that differentiates Standard edition and Enterprise edition.
How is it implemented? Can 2-Tier server architecture (Web Server <-> Database Server) be accommodated by Standard Edition? How about Disaster Recovery mechanism that automatically redirect the request to mirror server (With identical database content)? Can Standard edition accommodate it?

Thank you
Best Regards, Ferry

Ferry,

1. Upgrading to Enterprise is very easy, you just need to re-activate it using a different license key (will be sent to you automatically). You also enjoy discount after you purchased Standard Edition.

2. For standard edition, only one production server can be activated. So, in your case, you need at least Enterprise Edition as there are mirror servers, this is similar to load balancing environment.

Thanks.

I would like to upgrade from Standard to Enterprise edition. How do I get the discount you mentioned? I logged into Snowcovered, but I don't see a way to upgrade.
