I'm suddenly not getting any emails after a successful registration. If I go into the registration manager and cancel a registration, the registration cancellation email is sent. If I then re-confirm that same registration, the confirmation email is sent. I also see that when they are sent, there is no personalization. The [FIRSTNAME] [LASTNAME] tokens aren't working at all. |

Derek, 1. After what you suddenly not getting any emails? (If it is unpaid registration, no email is sent in v3.1) 2. The [FIRSTNAME] ... tokens does not work in the notification email because those tokens represent the current user's data. Thanks. |

When I first set up the module the notification emails were being sent upon a paid registration. Now they're not. No changes other than adding new events to test. What tokens am I to use for notification personalization? |

Derek, 1. Can I confirm that, you didn't install any upgrade, but suddenly it stopped sending email notifications? 2. if so, please check on the Admin >> Event Viewer, is there any error about failure on sending emails? Thanks |

It was since the upgrade as far as I can remember. There is an error. The error only happens for that registration notification. My server is Windows 2008 Standard, IIS 7, SMTP is set to windows auth. All other messages work fine. I use the Onyaktech Axon for my newsletters and it works fine as well. All DNN notifications work fine too. It's only the registration notification that is not working. Kind of odd. |

It is not a new feature we are requesting, it was an existing feature in the previous versions, and it is a required feature for my client. No where was it documented that you removed this feature. After upgrading it broke the workflow. We used to get emails after a successful registration (or all types Offline, Paypal, Free Event etc) How do I get phone support or more timely support for my Enterprise license. |

Hi, Kora, We answered the other post as well. We are now working on this to provide better controls for users. Many users also requested not to send email if the event is not paid for, therefore changed this algorithm, but it obviously affected many other users like you, we will improve on this. I apologize for the inconvenience... Thanks. |

Hi, our client is having a similar issue to those listed here (upgrading to 3.1 seemed to stop all notifications being sent to the event owner/admin when someone registers regardless of payment type, which was working in 3.0). Is it possible to have an ETA for when these new email notifications controls will be included or when this issue will be resolved? Will it be included in the next patch/update? Appreciate any response. |

I am confused in one of the other thread it was noted that the offline payment option still doesn't receive emails. Can you please confirm if an email will be sent the Registering user, irrespective of his mode of payment (Offline/Paypal/Online) on sucessful registration. |

Me too. I can't even view details of an event now. This is a real problem for me as this site is currently taking registrations for some important events. When do you think you can give a fix for this. I can't even rollback my version as it says there is already a later version installed. |

Sri, That is the right number. You can ask to speak to gary, or ask for technical support team. However, we tested on many installations without any problem. Two things we will do now: 1. we will test and test again with upgrades and downgrades 2. can you provide a Host account to access your website to check on the installation and errors? you can send to support @ invenmanager.com. If we found anything, we will post it here again. Thanks. |

Hi, All, We tested again and again, no problem so far. I believe, it is most likely due to the following: When you re-install, the ascx files in the /desktopmodules/ folders are not getting replaced! You can verify this by compare the files in the /desktopmodules/eventscalendar/ directory, and the files in the updated PA zip file. It maybe due to the write permission issue for the module directory. One thing you can do is to grant NETWORK SERVICE with write permission to the folder, and re-install the update again. Thanks. |

The files did get replaced and Network Service has Write Permission to the folder, I tried re-installing it to, that did not fix the issue. Looks like it is not just me, but mutiple people are having the same issue. Did you try upgrading on the DNN 5.2 installation? |

Thank you Gary that fixed the problem of not able to go to the register page or edit or create an event. But coming back to original issue of " Not getting email after successful registration", still I did not get an email after I registered for a free event sucsessfully. |

Since the code was breaking before I took the source code compiled it and deployed the dll before. Do not if that makes any difference. |

Hi, Sri, The error you provided is related to the FCK Editor. Also, since the errors are particular to your installation, would you mind creating a new thread for the issues because many users are on this thread, and we don't want to disturb them with unrelated issues. |

Thanks, that fixed the broken problem. If I register for a free event, I have (and previously did, before upgrade) receive notification. However. I registered for a paid event but did not pay. I did not receive any notification but my registration exists in the list. I would expect to receive a notification to say I have registered, but not paid and giving instructions as to what I must do finalise my registration to make my payment. Thanks |

Hi, The logic now is, the email notification is only sent after a payment is made. For unpaid registration, no emails will be sent. This was modified after many users reported email notification inform them about event registration even if they did not pay. However, we understand this is not perfect, and we cannot cater to different users' requirements. Thus, in the upcoming release v4.0 or so, we have enhanced this logic, so that you (admin user) will have complete control over when an email notification should be sent, for free events, offline payments, upon successful payments, or failed to pay. I hope that will offer more flexibilities for different users.

Thanks for the update, we managed to get it working as well. In regards to the intial issue though of off-line registration notifications not being sent; Although we've manged to reach a compromise with out customer, I'd like to express our slight dis-satisfaction that its removal wasn't included/advised in any patch-notes. To us its removal was slightly baffling, especially for the context that we used the module in (offline payment method of choice, payment "at door" of event sometimes mandatory etc.). |
