I can't quite determine by looking at the demo calendars whether multi-day events are possible and how they look when displayed. I am setting up a site for a school and we would like to highlight the school holidays on the calendar. These can span several weeks and it would be good if they were highlighted in a different background colour to make them obvious.
So are multiday events supported and can they be given a different background colour?

1. Yes, you can create multi-day events.

2. In order to display them in a different background color, you can create a special category and define the background color. The background color is based on the category an event is assigned to.
