Is there a way to maintain a waiting list once the number of attendees for an event have been reached? Perhaps I could re-configure the event to be a moderated event after the limit has been met and just not approve anybody at that point.

What you suggested is a workaround solution.

However, we may consider adding Waiting list feature in the future upgrades... thanks.
