I'm setting up a calendar for a large cycling club who plans multiple events through each week. It's common for them to have at least one event a day and multiple on weekends. From a business workflow perspective they have two three groups of users:

1. Members of the club, they can see approved rides
2. Ride Captains, they can post rides
3. Ride Scheduler (1), who can approve rides.

The question has come up where they would like Ride Captains to "see" unapproved rides on the calendar (so as not to over schedule a specific Saturday for example). So ideally we could accomplish the following:

Members - only see approved rides
Ride Captains - see approved and unapproved rides
Ride Scheduler - sees approved and unapproved rides and can approve

Lastly, we would like to code those somehow (with an icon, or color, etc.)

I am thinking about creating a category for unapproved rides? But this seems to expose mistakes on the part of the person entering the ride. Before I go too far down the path I want to see if you or anyone else had suggestions to accomplish this (or close to this).

If I understand that correctly, you want your events to be approved before it is published for members to see.

Currently the module can do that. you just configure the permission at the Main Settings, so that the user can approve the events before it is published.

Thanks for the quick reply, but actually what I need is for a specific role to see unapproved events on the calendar. Is that possible?

Show un-approved events on the calendar is not possible now. You only can view it at My Events section...
