I've purchased an Event Calendar and Registration 3.0 Event Calendar - Standard License. I installed the module on a public (but unpublished) staging server (not localhost) while I work on creating the site (which will take a few months and needs to be viewable by my client as it progresses). I will then publish the site replacing the client's existing site on a different domain from the staging server.

Your license terms say:

"For Standard Edition license, please only activate it on production server, you can only activate it once. You do not need to activate it if you are running as Localhost."

So how should I handle this? Can I activate now and simply ask you to reset the activation when I go live with the new domain?

Another solution might be the creative use of sub-domains. If I point new.ClientDomain.com to the staging server and then activate, will this cover activation on both new.ClientDomain.com and www.ClientDomain.com?

Thanks for your help with this.

Larry,

Please provide the encrypted Server data (you can find it on the License tab) for both staging and production server, and also your activation code or invoice number to support @ invenmanager.com.

Thanks.

So if I leave the site on the same server and just point the client's domain at the staging server, can I just use the normal activation?

If no change to the DNN installation and IP address, the license will work, it does not matter which domain you use it for.
