How can I configure an event to require payment before a person is registered? I want people to pay first--if they don't pay, then they cannot be registered. (This is similar to how the DNN Events module is set up). Maybe I am missing a setting, but currently, it allows a person to register without paying. Thanks!

Hi, Currently (v3.0.3), registration and payment are two different process. It means a user can Register without making payments and the system send out a registration email. But the system will show status as Not Paid. In the future release, we will make this streamlined, so that no email is sent if the payment is not done (for paid events). and the process is only completed when the payment is processed or user choose offline payment. Thanks. |

That sounds *perfect*. What is the date of that release? Thanks for the quick response. |

Has there been any progress made in the addition of this feature? |

I have just set up your product on my website and encountered the registering with no payment. Is there a fix for this yet? I need the process to work with payment required before registration. Is there any estimate in time? I am also waiting on the Satellite module fix.

For me this is not fixed. I'm running Event Calendar 3.1 and the user is registered before they even choose a payment option. This is not acceptable. When a user gets to the payment option page, and they hit "Return" instead of choosing a payment options, they are registered for the event and sent to the redirect page for offline payment. This is a serious problem. Is there a way to fix this immediate, we launch in 1 hour. |

Derek, Sorry, it is this way now, the user is still registered but the payment status is Unpaid. Does it make sense? Maybe we should change the logic, so that user can choose how it works. but this feature is not available yet. |

The "return" link implies that they are able to change their mind and cancel the registration. It doesn't make sense that they are registered before the final page. The only time they should be added to the registration is upon completed payment or when they select offline payment. Not before. |

Derek, Yes, you have a point. we should add a logic so that users can design their way on how this operates.... as I know some users want to keep the registration data even if they do no pay, so they can send email to get payments or at least keep the database... it maybe a different situation... |

I agree with Derek that this return function button should NOT be registering people! |
