I know there is a way to restrict which roles can view events - is there a way to specify which roles can register for an event? I'm looking for a solution that will allow everyone to view an event, but only users from specific roles to register.

Thanks,

Brent

Brent,

Currently you can set the event registrations only to "Registered Users", but not a particular role.

Or you have an option to open Registration to Anonymous users as well.

Thanks.

I have a follow-up question to this. I have a client who uses the calendar for different work groups (ie many calendars on the website), but wants to have a centralized calendar. Showing events from different calendars into one big calendar is not a problem, of course. However, the problem is that she wants to show the events to the public, but restrict them from clicking on the DETAILS of the event. Is that possible?

The logic for this is that they want to show the public that they are doing a lot of things on the calendar (show event titles), but you can't really see the details of the calendar unless you are a member of the organization (ie registered with the website). This is possible?

Thanks.

You can change the list view, and calendar view template for the Main calendar, remove the Detail link from the template.

Just to clarify, can I do this without access to the source code? We have only purchased the standard edition of the module. Thanks.

No, you don't have to access the source codes, it is under View Options.
