Is there any way to turn this option off? For most events, the person is registering once only or once per year. The additional list just confuses the person registering more than one.

also, can the 'add additional attendee' be moved down next to 'Register'. Right now if they click on 'Add another attendee' and decide they didn't need to, they click on 'register'. however, then the current validation kicks in because all the selections are empty.

we looked for the ascx to hide the 'remember this attendee' and to move the 'add another', but it appears you build those in code rather than through the ascx where we can move them around?

Well, we found it under the 'editregistrationdetails.ascx'.

we can move them anywhere. plus the 'remember attendee' doesn't display unless the person is logged in. we are not requiring site registration, so it doesn't display.

we stil think that the user shouldn't be stuck if they entered the last person and then clicked on 'add Another Attendee'. there is no way for them to keep all the people they added. if they click on 'Return' they have to start over. I guess for now we will add a red warning about this next to the 'add attendee' button.

Well, i wasn't expecting just an 'ok'.

for all anonymous registrations:

if a person clicks on 'Add Another Attendee' but doesn't really want to, they are completely stuck. they can't register with the existing list with the fields being blank, they can't add a fake one and then delete it because they are still on the same page with the blank fields. if they cancel, they lose everyonne that they have entered and have to start over.

The option to 'Register' should be linked to the list, not to the entry form. this way they can see their registrations all in a list prior to clicking on 'Register'. There should be an 'add to registration list' button and then a button that is 'complete registration' or 'finalize registration'.

There is another problem in the workflow. If a person does do it correctly and clicks on the 'Register' link while the last person's information is in the boxes, the go to the review screen. if they review it and find they need to change something and click on 'Return', it doesn't return them back to the entry screen. It sends them back to the detail screen and they lose all their entries!!!!. The 'return' on this page should say 'Cancel' instead. Actually it should have a 'back' button that returns them to the last page with all the attendees they have in the list. Of course, if the other screen isn't fixed, they are still stuck, because they can't go forward again. Maybe that is why you send them back to the beginning.

These workflow problems for multiple attendee are a show stopper for us. The event we want to use this for simply has too many entries that are done by one member of a team and they register multiple people at the same time. We have add warnings all over the place, but they are no substitute for the proper workflow.

Is there any possiblity that these items could be fixed soon? Do you guys release interim releases rather than compiling a large list of updates?

Any positive information on this would help us decide on purchaseing additional licenses for other DNN installations.

Thanks,

Bob

Bob,

Thanks for your feedback, and we will work on this to improve the workflow so users are less confused.

As far as I can tell, some of the questions here aren't answered. Are there interim releases or are we going to have to wait a long while for large update?

Derek,

We have already changed the workflow for the registration process, almost as the way Robert suggested here, we will have a interim release in about a week.

I fully agree with Robert's posts. We need different workflow for the registration process too (as Robert proposal).
Next month I will publish registration sevice and I'm afraid (sure) all registering users will be stuck. All of them will do multi attendee registrations and it's istinctive to click "remember attendee" as last step of registration (leading to confusion).
Hope you'll give us an update soon! Thanks!
