Hi,

I am having a problem with the Event Reminder for Events Calendar 3.1.1. For some reason it is not sending email reminders for all events. For a sample: http://choctawcasinos.com/Durant/Calendar/tabid/169/vw/3/ItemID/18/d/20100222/Default.aspx

Can you help me with this?

I am not sure if this would help, but I went to the Events Viewer and found the following error (attached screenshot). (Let me know if you can't view the image).

Thanks.

Yes, there was an error sending email reminder.

Is there any other error besides this?

No.. Now.. as far as I understand my client's server is pretty strict... it doesn't allow packets going outside the box without its consent... Last time we had a Google Map module, we had to ask their Network Administrator to allow packets going outside to maps.google.com... I was wondering if this were true with the Events Calendar Module...

It must be.

Please check with their Network admin for outgoing emails. thanks.

I did think about that, however we have another email module that can send email externally and internally... So unless the Events Reminder is using a different port, I don't think that might be the case.. Please advise!!

It could be also affected by the Sender address.

I know some servers allow relay from certain address only.

You can try setting using the same email sender used by another email module.

It is a simple emailing process, does not use any special ports.

please try that
