As mentioned in the Advanced Articles feature request forum, we're planning to use these modules on an international site that supports 2 languages (and maybe more in the future). Currently, most of our events are in German, so this is not a pressing issue - but in the longer run this will likely change. Basically, what would be needed here would be the possibility to add one or more languages to an event (some events are actually multi-lingual, with translations being given during the event, so just being able to assign a single language would be insufficient), and then have the events be filtered by the language the user has currently selected (he could switch the language at any point in time). So, if an event has no language assigned, it would always be visible, if it has English assigned, it would be hidden when the user has selected "German" as language, and when it has German and English assigned, a user that has selected "Italian" would not see the event. With that "in-place", it would also make sense to have the categories multilingual; in other words: One category would have to be available in multiple languages and the language the current user has selected would define which of the language-entries of the given category would be displayed. Is this something that could be somewhere on the horizon? ;-) |
