Option to 'turn off' (not display) certain days of the week

I've read a few other posts in the past, I believe, where users have had similar issues. We only have events Monday thru Friday. That means we have 2/7 of the screen that is essentially unused. Given that 'screen real estate' is limited it would be helpful to be able to not display those days. Perhaps other organizations have similar issues but with different days of the week. So my suggestion is to have an option to not include/not display user selected days of the week. In our case we would select/turn off Saturday and Sunday of every week in the year so they never appear in our calendar. Others might select different days.
I would imagine an option in 'Main Settings' where the Administrator could check which days of the week to display in the calendar. There would be seven check boxes, one for each day of the week. If the Administrator selects Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, those days would appear in the calendar. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday would not. In our case we would check Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The days would still exist in the Event Calendar system but they would not appear for the website user or anyone adding/editing/deleting events.
I hope this is clear.
Thanks for your attention.
Mike

Michael,
Currently if you want to hide weekend, you can do so.
Just add this to the CSS class for the weekendday: "display:none;" at the View Options.
You can try that...

I added display:none in two places in the Theme section of Portal-1-Default.css and Saturday and Sunday were eliminated except for the Calendar heading. Saturday and Sunday remained so to the user it appears we are offering workshops Sunday thru Thursday. Not quite the desired outcome.
Do you have any further suggestions? I couldn't find any other place that referenced 'weekendday'.

How about if you use a smaller space for weekends like this?
In this case, you just modify two things:
.evtOtherMonDay
{
background-color: #F6FAFD;
width: 2%;
}
.evtWeekendDay
{
width: 2%;
}

That was helpful. Thank you very much! That gave me enough room on the page to add another module that tells workshop attendees that child care is available and some other yet to be identified information.
The ideal solution would be something like the suggestion above. However, I get the feeling that it might be a fairly significant change.
Thanks again!

Look at your response from 07 Jan 2010. Is it possible to do something like that with the satellite module? We need to make it as narrow as possible. I looked for a place to enter the same css but could not find one.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Mike,
The same CSS will be applied to the Satellite module as well, you can change it at the View Options page at the Satellite Module. Thanks
