Hi-
I was wondering if it is possible to have an event which anyone could register for that also assigns them a role? The only way I can see this working is if the Event Calendar and Registration module can create a new user on the site and assign them a role of your choice. I see there's an option in the settings to assign a user a role upon registration for a particular event, but it appears that when I go to register for an event I have to be a registered user on the site, if I want to use the option of assigning a role to that user.
Is there a way to create a new user for the site when then go to register for an event?
In short, is it possible to register the user for the site and the same time as they register for an event?

Lorilee,
We might be able to add this feature in the future release. but the current v3.1 version you must register as a user first...

I am also very interested in this feature. I am confused as in the manual it states -
"Add User to This Role: You can add the attendee to a user role (Or create a new user account if the attendee’s email
is not found). To configure the roles that can be added, go to Main Settings >> Permission Section. In order to create
attendee as a new user, you need to set the option at Main Settions >> General Section."
Is this feature now in place but just not working?

The feature to add user to a role, is available since version v3.1.
Please note the latest version is v4.0.x. Thanks.
