Maximum number of days before can register

It looks like the maximum number of days that someone can register for an event is 30 days. Is there any way to increase that? I would like people to be able to register a couple of months before.

Actually, I think it is something else. I had this problem once before. The register link is greyed out on the form to register. I have the Events and Calendar 3.1.
