Is there a trial version for the facility booking module? When
do you foresee a new release?

Ken

Ken,

Thanks for your email.

I would suggest Facility Booking is a better choice for you based
on your description.

Though, I am making efforts to come up with a new extension module
for the Calendar module for Events Booking. From this extension module, user
can set available time slots for booking, and then it will be blocked once the
slot is taken. And the bookings can be shown on Events Calendar main module, as
well as the satellite mdoule, because the event is added to the central
database.

Please feel free to give me comments on this new module. style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'>

Thank you.

Gary D.

Hello Gary,

I’ve a client who needs me to implement a solution for taking
reservations for a challenge course program. Although I still need to get a
number of details on how they want it to run, I’m assuming they will have
certain days where the course is available to be booked, up to a certain number
of people, either as a group or as individuals. It seems like your Events
Registration module might work well, but I’m trying to determine a few things.

1. style='font-size:7.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";color:#404040'>
If the client has their own payment processing, I assume I
should limit the options to offline payment processing. Can the site manager go
back in to the registration and mark it as paid once their payment has been
received?

2. style='font-size:7.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";color:#404040'>
Is there any option for showing a week view instead of just
month, day, and list?

3. style='font-size:7.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";color:#404040'>
Once an event has reached its maximum capacity for
registrations, can it be set to not show up on the calendar to users browsing
for an available date? Or can it be displayed differently so it’s clear that
it’s not open for registration?

Or, perhaps is the facilities booking module maybe a better
solution? It seems like that’s not been updated recently, but on Snowcovered
you indicated a new release is pending. What new features are you anticipating
in that new release?

This client of mine would like to be able to roll this out for
several of their clients, so if this is the right solution I foresee purchasing
multiple licenses. Hope it’s going to do the trick – there aren’t many other
options out there in the DNN world that look to have the potential your has.

Thanks for your time and attention.

Cheers,

Ken
