Call me stuipid if you want, but I just dont seem to get how you "upgrade" to a licensed version once you have purchased the module (via SnowCovered)? I could probably uninstall the trial module and install the purchased one, but wouldnt that mean that all customizations I have done in trial mode would be lost? Or is there a licensecode to enter, if so, where is it and where should it be entered?

Patrick,

You can install the one you downloaded from Snowcovered. All your configuration will be preserved. (Unless you changed the ascx files by programming?)

Thanks.

I downloaded trial a few hours ago and tested, then went to snowcovered and paid for it and downloaded from their site.

Folowing this post, I went to install over it and dnn5 tells me it is already installed. I did Customization first and then advance and same message.

Of course, now I have hit my 10 article limit and can't finish catching up.

Please advise as I need to get this done.

Thanks, Tom

Tom,

The last resort, are you able to export All articles into XML file, go to the module menu, export.

And then un-install it, re-install using the version you downloaded from Snowcovered.com. Import from the module menu again.

Let me know if you have any problem with that.

Thanks.

It is under Module's action menu. You should be able to find it below "Migration" for v4.2.9.

I get this error when i hit the migration

A critical error has occurred.
Could not load file or assembly 'EfficionConsulting.Categories, Version=3.0.0.25742, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Can you help me with this?

Leuk,

It looks like you did not install our legacy module Advanced Announcements, (it come with an component called EddicionConsulting.Categories), so you can't migrate from the legacy modules.

:)
