In the Advanced Article Satellite module, i have a list of contents posted by User 1 and user 2. The content is from one category. if User1 logs in, it sees all the contents, own and User 2 content, with a EDIT option. If User1 clicks the Edit option on a content posted by User 2, it does not open the Edit screen but takes the user to the Advanced Article main screen. Now, If user2 logs in it sees Edit optoin next to only its content and not next to user1 content. What is happening out here? Is the Satellite module only for View purpose or both View/edit?

I see your screen shot.
Obviously User 1 has Edit permission to the Article module. (Under module settings permission grid), so he see all edit button for all articles.
Where User 2 does not have Edit permission to the entire module, he only can edit his own articles.
Thanks.

Both User 1 and User 2 has view permission only. I am attaching the same power point slides containg additional screen shots of the permission screen.

But at the User 1 view, there is a drop down menu besides the module title. Which means user 1 has Edit permission to the module.
Can you check User 1's security role?
