We recently bought this module and are very happy with it.
One question, is it possible to customize the colors of the background and text of the little calendar in the friendlypublishdate?
We use the module on our corporate intranet and would like to adapt to our housestyle colors.

Yes, you just change the CSS style sheet used by that element.

Depends on what you want to change, you can view HTML source of your web page, and to find out what css class it is used, and change it accordingly, at the View Options page.
